Yongzheng, the interior filled with the
arms of Sayer quartering Woodhouse and
Brooke within a deep cavetto panelled
with fruit in an iron-red and gold trellis
under pomegranate, willow, other sprays
and treasures on the reverted rim carrying
the repeated crest, restored, 35.9cm.;
A large export ware armorial Dish, Kanji, painted in ‘family-verge’ enamels and gilding with arms titled OVER. YSEL within flowers framed by a panelled trellis cavetto containing fish under a flat rim containing three landscape panels of poets with wine jars between bird panels, all reserved in the under glaze-blue trellis ground, crack and rim restoration, 43cm.; I7in.
An armorial saucer Dish, Qianlong, painted with an impaled coat-of-arms within a part under glaze-blue shaded outline under predominantly iron-red and gilt borders and a series of treasures borne upon willow and waves, hairline crack, 22.7cm.; 87in.
A Pair of armorial Soup Plates, Qianlong, the centre filled with the fully mantled crest and shield of Biss impaling Bill over the motto sis FAEUX BIS under two gilt spearhead borders in the cavetto framed by a gilt and grisaille trellised rim incorporating six barbed panels containing flower and fruit alternating with butterflies, 22.2cm.;
A ‘family-rose’ armorial Saucer, Qianlong, the centre filled with the shield of Frederick within full mantling, part outlined and coloured in under glaze-blue under predominantly iron-red and gilt borders incorporating the crest between treasures and willow sprays, hairline cracks, 16.1cm.;
An export armorial Snuff Box, Qianlong, with moulded sides, bottom and cover, the latter carrying the shield and crest of John Edward Wright band, the sides with cameo landscapes and scenes of birds, the bottom with a European harbour scene, gilt-metal mounted hinged rims and liner, cover cracked, 7cm.;
An export ware armorial star-shaped Dish, Kanji, charged with the arms of Raymond in a central blue gourd medallion, six Imaret flower sprays on the angled sides of the six-pointed rim, 13.9cm.;
An armorial Plate, Yongzheng/ Qianlong, enamelled and gilt with the full achievement of Clifford, the dragon crest repeated on the rim between two cell diaper borders in under glaze-blue also enclosing five flower sprays repeated underneath, fritting, chips, 29.8cm.;
A monogrammed export ware part Dinner Service, Qianlong/Jailing,
each piece decorated in gilt detailed orange with birds and butterflies amongst scattered flowers and fruit, each piece monogrammed M.W.C.(f), comprising: oval Soup Tureen, Cover and Stand, approx. 33cm.; 13in., rectangular Vegetable Tureen and Cover, Sauce Tureen, Cover and Stand, Meat Dish, saucer Dish and twenty-four Plates (in three sizes), some damage.
